The SC/ST /OBC Cell of the college is formed with the purpose of empowering the SC and ST Sudents and for the welfare of Other Backward Communities in the college. The Cell basically helps  students for their academic development and facilitates the fruitful implementation of the policies and programmes of the Government of India, Education Departments and State Government.

Objectives:

• The cell assists the SC/ST  and OBC students to meet their needs to improve their performance in curricular and co curricular activities.
• To ensure the welfare of SC/ST  and OBC students in the college.
• To make sure the scholarships are properly distributed.
• To ensure proper functioning of the grievance redressal system for SC/ST and OBC students.
• To promote their traditional arts.
• To bring them in step with the privileged from their Psycho-social antecedents
